What is the Pushkar Camel Fair?
The vibrant Pushkar Camel Fair is one of India's most colorful and exciting festivals that sees thousands of camels and other animals gathered into the desert town of Pushkar in Rajasthan.
It is one of the world's largest cattle fairs where visitors can watch traditional livestock trading, camel and horse races, cultural performances, magic shows and so much more. There's even the chance to ride a hot air balloon and see the desert's stunning sunrises and sunsets.
Pushkar Lake is also a sacred lake that Hindus make a pilgrimage to visit during the Kartik Purnima full moon.
Visitors can spend time with the locals and get a deep insight into rural India in its purest form. This incredible festival is an experience like no other, so don't miss it!
