What is the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade?

The infamous Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade takes place every Thanksgiving in New York City. It is presented by the U.S.-based department store chain Macy's.

Along with incredible floats, dancers, marching bands and performers the parade has giant balloons with favorites like Astronaut Snoopy, Pikachu and Evie, Sonic the Hedgehog, Spongebob Squarepants and Gary, Diary of a Wimpy Kid, Paw Patrol, Smokey the Bear and many more.

There's no better place to be than New York City during Thanksgiving! Why not check out the parade while you're there and make memories to last a lifetime.

The parade takes place between 9am - 12noon EDT. Macy's recommends the best place to watch the parade is between 61st and 72nd on Central Park West. Get there early to secure your spot!
