What is Blazing Swan?

Taking its inspiration from the Burning Man event held each year in the Black Rock Desert in the USA, Blazing Swan is a week-long arts event held annually in Western Australia. A temporary city is erected at Jilakin Rock Lake, by the home of the Kulin Bush racetrack near the town of Kulin.

Blazing Swan is based on an ethos with 11 guiding principles for self-expression and respect for others. The temporary community is a place where relationships are created and neighbors meet one another.

Participants can expect to find music, dance, performances, parades, talks and games, as well as quiet spaces to find peace and reflection.
