What is the Galway International Oyster and Seafood Festival?
The Galway International Oyster & Seafood Festival is an annual three day event held on the last weekend of September in the center of Ireland's beautiful city of Galway.
There's so much to see and do at this festival but the main events to look out for are the two Oyster Opening Championships - the Irish Oyster Opening Championship and the World Oyster Opening Championship.
Enjoy fabulous live music and scrumptious seafood with a beautiful Galway backdrop. Even if seafood is not your thing, you will find plenty of meat, vegan and veggie options available in the festival marquee.
Why not make the most of the late summer weather and spend a weekend savoring some delicious seafood in a stunning setting. It's guaranteed to be an unforgettable experience!
